I'm on Twitter - my profile
Don't ask me why I joined. It seems like it's the thing to do in the blogosphere. If you're on it, be my Twitter friend!! ...and teach me how to use this thing. :D
Damn you.
I love Firefox, and I haven't use Explorer since I downloaded it. I heard Firefox 3 was faster so I downloaded it. Some websites feel faster, but I don't notice the difference in speed.
They added the "Smart Location Bar" - when you type in the url bar, it tries to guess where you want to go. It's supposed to get "smarter" based on your preferences and such, but it mostly looks in your bookmarks.
I hate the Smart Location Bar aka the "Awesome Bar." Awesome, my ass!! It's a pain in the butt because I don't want my bookmarks to pop up in the scroll bar. If I wanted to look within my bookmarks, I'd look there.
I disabled the option but that doesn't fix the problem either. I end up having to type out every URL. I don't want to downgrade to an earlier version because I'm afraid of losing my bookmarks.
Maybe I'll get used to it but right now I hate it hate it hate it!!!!!!
Meet Snuffins, the cutest pup on the block! He's made with a vintage style pattern that was created by the artist so you won't find anyone like him anywhere else!
You can get your own here.
I finally ordered this DIY Munny. I've been talking about starting a summer art project, and I really want to customize a Munny. Enough talking, now it's time to start doing. I just ordered this 4" Munny and I'm going to start working on it when I get it.
I've never been crafty, so this should be interesting. I'm going to do it!
One of my new faves - Helena Garcia
Peep her website to see more of her work. Her creations are supah-cute. I want a t-shirt made out of the above painting.
Hello!
I have a guest article on PoeWar.com: Blogging Changed My Life
I talk about how I transitioned from blogger to paid blogger. Oh, and I also quote Yoda in the article. Check it out and if you like it, please leave comments on the article link (not here).
Thanks!
I saw the best animated movie this weekend. My boyfriend is a 1st grade teacher, and he's always looking for new movies to show to his kids. He found this on a random shopping trip and we watched it the other night. "Kirikou and the Sorceress" is about a little boy trying to save his village from an evil sorceress. Even though he is just a baby, he is both wise and brave.
The animation is very simple, but it looks beautiful. The storyline is simple enough for kids but also engaging enough for adults. We were both caught up in the story as we rooted for Kirikou. It's the cutest movie I've seen in a long time, but it's also an intelligent movie.
Unfortunately, my boyfriend said he can't show this to his kids. The story takes place in an African village, and the women are all topless throughout the movie. It's the National Geographic type of topless but it still shows nudity. If you have young kids, you have to take that into consideration. It's a really good movie and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys folk tales.
